Meet Otis!
Isn’t he a beauty? Life on the ranch wasn’t always so easy. Back in 2002 when as a young calf, he lost his mother; our dear friend, Cowboy Marty decided to take him home so that his wife Cathy could bottle feed him. The story goes that she even took him to work to make sure that she would not miss his feeding schedule. Now that is quite a commitment. As he got a bit older and much stronger, Marty thought that it would be a good idea to re-integrate him with the herd.
That was a very difficult winter. He lost a great deal of weight and there were many times when we thought that we would find his carcass somewhere. By the following spring he started to look much better but it took him the better part of two years to stop being a loner and reintegrate himself to the herd.
Now he has his only little mini heard of about 30 cows and their calves. Otis, you’ve done Mama Cathy and Papa Marty proud! Friday, February 5, 2010
Petit Verdot Version 2.0 is Here!
Terra Savia is proud to announce the release of the 2007 Petit Verdot!
This is what the winemaker, Jim Milone has to say about this vintage:

"2007 yielded a more extracted wine than its predecessor making this second release an excellent vintage. Given the double gold medal success of the 2005, this one will not disappoint its many fans. The grapes were left in contact with the must for an extended period softening the tannins in the finish. It was aged in small French oak barrels to increase its complexity.
Its black cherry color and delightful blackberry and currant flavors make this vintage enjoyable now but it will also cellar well."
